10 Things To Do in Lynn MA This Weekend

If you’re looking for things to do in Lynn MA this weekend, you’re in the right place.

Lynn is sitting on one of the best waterfronts on the entire North Shore, a growing food and arts scene, historic landmarks, and more things to do on any given weekend than most people realize. You just have to know where to look.

Here’s your guide to the best things to do in Lynn, MA this weekend.

1. WALK LYNN SHORE DRIVE

If you haven’t walked Lynn Shore Drive lately, you’re missing out. This mile-long oceanfront esplanade stretches along Nahant Bay with open Atlantic views, a sweeping Boston skyline in the distance, and a seawall path that’s perfect for a morning walk, a sunset run, or just sitting and breathing for a minute.

Bring coffee. Bring your dog. Bring someone you’ve been meaning to catch up with.

It’s free, it’s beautiful, and it’s right here.

2. GRAB BREAKFAST AT ONE MIGHTY MILL

Before you do anything else on a Saturday morning, stop at One Mighty Mill on Exchange Street in downtown Lynn.

This isn’t your average bagel shop. They mill their own flour — on-site, from whole grains — and bake everything fresh daily. The everything bagel with scallion cream cheese is the move. Get there early because they sell out.

It’s the kind of place that makes you proud this city is your city.

3. EXPLORE LYNN WOODS

Lynn Woods is one of the largest municipal parks in the entire United States — over 2,200 acres of trails, ponds, and old-growth forest right inside the city limits.

Most people who don’t live in Lynn have never heard of it. That’s wild.

Bring the family, bring the dog, or go solo. The reservoir trail is gorgeous any time of year. If you want to earn your views, hike up to Burrill Hill and take in the Boston skyline from the stone fire tower.

4. CATCH A SHOW AT LYNN MEMORIAL AUDITORIUM

Lynn Memorial Auditorium on Union Street has hosted some of the biggest names in music history — and it continues to bring real talent to the North Shore.

Check the calendar before your weekend. Whether it’s a classic rock tribute, a comedian, or a local artist putting on a show, the Auditorium is one of those venues that punches way above its weight.

5. VISIT THE LYNN MUSEUM & HISTORICAL SOCIETY

Tucked at 590 Washington Street, the Lynn Museum is genuinely one of the most underrated spots in the city.

The collection covers everything from Lynn’s industrial shoe-manufacturing era (at one point, Lynn made more shoes than anywhere in the world) to its role in abolitionism and the labor movement. The building itself — a converted 19th-century bank — is worth seeing.

Admission is free. There’s really no excuse not to go.

6. DISCOVER THE MURALS OF DOWNTOWN LYNN

Downtown Lynn has quietly become an outdoor art gallery.

In the past few years, massive murals have appeared across Central Square and the surrounding blocks — vibrant, community-driven art that tells the real story of who lives here and what this city is becoming.

Take a slow walk through downtown and count them. You’ll be surprised how many there are.

7. EAT AT NIGHTSHADE NOODLE BAR

Nightshade Noodle Bar on Market Street is a Michelin-recognized restaurant. In Lynn.

Chef Rachel Miller’s French and Vietnamese-inspired tasting menu has earned national attention, multiple James Beard Award nominations, and a reputation as one of the most exciting dining experiences on the North Shore. Book ahead — it fills up fast.

If you haven’t been yet, this weekend is the weekend.

8. HIT THE BEACH AT RED ROCK PARK

Red Rock Park on the Nahant side of Lynn is one of those spots that feels like a secret even though it’s right there.

The rocky shoreline, tide pools, and open ocean views make it perfect for a low-key afternoon. Bring lunch, find a flat rock overlooking the water, and just sit.

9. BROWSE BOBBY’S OF BOSTON

Bobby’s of Boston on Market Street has been doing vintage clothing for over 50 years — multiple floors of military jackets, collegiate sweaters, denim, and accessories that you genuinely cannot find anywhere else.

It’s the kind of place where you go in for one thing and leave with five. A Lynn institution.

10. TRY A PINT AT BENT WATER BREWING

Finish your weekend at Bent Water Brewing at 180 Commercial Street.

Local craft beer, a relaxed taproom vibe, and a rotating selection of small-batch brews that hold their own against anything you’d find in the city. It’s the perfect end to a day in Lynn.

Lynn doesn’t need to be discovered. It’s been here the whole time.
