A 1949 Art Deco landmark

The auditorium is part of Lynn Memorial City Hall, an Art Deco building completed in 1948–49 that also holds the mayor’s office and the City Council chambers. It was built as a war memorial to Lynn residents who died in the nation’s military conflicts, and it was added to the National Register of Historic Places on Feb. 24, 2005. Today its hall seats more than 2,000 people for comedy, concerts and touring shows.
