Lynn opens public survey for ADA self-evaluation plan
The City of Lynn is collecting feedback through a six-question survey in six languages through the end of November to shape its ADA plan.
The City of Lynn is asking residents and visitors to give feedback through a public survey running through the end of November as part of its ADA Self-Evaluation and Transition Plan, the city said.
The project team includes Kessler McGuinness & Associates and the Lynn Disability Commission, and Transportation Program Manager Nicholas Alonzo is the city contact for the effort; the city provided a phone number and email for questions (781-584-2853, nalonzo@lynnma.gov).
Phase I work covers staff and community engagement, evaluation of city programs, audits of municipal facilities, and development of action steps with costs and priorities. A Phase II, funded by a grant, will expand the audits to municipally owned parks, playgrounds and parking lots, the city said.
The short, six-question survey is offered in English, Spanish, Portuguese, Khmer, Haitian Creole and Russian to help the team identify accessibility priorities that will inform the final plan (City of Lynn — Transportation Grant page). The Lynn Disability Commission page describes the commission’s role and lists the city’s designated ADA coordinators (City of Lynn — Disability Commission page).
