Lynn hosts open houses on South Harbor waterfront renewal plan
Residents can weigh in on the city’s South Harbor Urban Renewal Plan at open houses Oct. 29 and Dec. 16 at the Lynn Museum.
Lynn residents and business owners can weigh in on the future of the South Harbor waterfront at two open houses on the city’s South Harbor Urban Renewal Plan, both at the Lynn Museum, 590 Washington Street.
The first is Thursday, Oct. 29, from 2 to 7 p.m., and the second is Wednesday, Dec. 16, also from 2 to 7 p.m. Spanish interpretation will be available at both, the city says.
The city says it has been working to transform the waterfront through its South Harbor Implementation Plan, created in 2023–2024, but that certain blighted properties in the area are limiting what it can deliver. The urban renewal plan is meant to keep progress moving. A state technical assistance grant is paying for consultants Innes Land Strategies Group, working with RKG and Nitsch Engineering.
Can’t make it? The city is also collecting ideas on an online interactive map on its Lynn in Common planning site. The Oct. 29 open house is on our events calendar.
