New Lynn youth taskforce wants survey answers from ages 13 to 25, and new members
The city’s Youth and Adolescence Taskforce has a survey for young people ages 13 to 25 and is taking member applications on a rolling basis.
Lynn has a new Youth and Adolescence Taskforce, set up with the Mayor’s Office and the City Council, and it wants to hear from young people. The group is running a survey for Lynn residents ages 13 to 25 and is taking applications for new members.
The city said the taskforce was created “to ensure young people have a seat at the table and are provided pathways to successfully transition into adulthood,” and that it was founded on the belief that there are gaps in programming for people ages 16 to 25. Its stated focus is equity, access, leadership, prevention and youth-centered policy.
How to take part
- Take the survey (ages 13 to 25): it asks about young people’s needs and what helps them succeed in Lynn. Survey form.
- Join the taskforce: it meets about once a month, mostly online, and members can lead initiatives and committees. Applications are accepted on a rolling basis. Application form.
Current members include City Councilor at Large Nicole McClain and Faustina Cuevas from the Mayor’s Office. Questions go to Linda Nor at Linda.Nor@lynnma.gov.
